MARCELENE "MARCIE" ZINK

Marcelene "Marcie" Mae Zink, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral service.
Marcie was born July 25, 1929, to Creed and Vivien (Wilcox) Estel in Winterset, Iowa. Marcie was united in marriage to Robert Zink on March 22, 1947, in Hiawatha, Kan. She was an active member at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert of Cedar Rapids; her children, Marcia (John) Newmeister of Tulsa, Okla., and Bob (Sheree) Zink of Livermore, Calif.; four grandchildren, Joy, Julie, Katie and Rachel; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Iyla.
Marcie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.
