Manternach, The Rev. Monsignor Albert
The Rev. Monsignor Albert Manternach, 92, of Dubuque, formerly of Cascade, died 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque. Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, where a wake service begins at 4 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 6 p.m. Friends may also call after 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade is in charge of arrangements. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with Archbishop Most Rev. Jerome Hanus as the principal celebrant. Concelebrant will be Most Rev. Daniel Kucera and fellow visiting priest. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade, with full military honors afforded by Cascade American Legion Post 528.
He is survived by a brother, Francis “Skip” Manternach of Cascade; one sister, Sister Anna Marie Manternach OSF of Dubuque; and one brother-in-law. Sam Kurt of Cascade.
