Malvena Richter, 90, died June 30, 2016, at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion.
To honor her wishes, there will not be any public services. Private committal will be held at the Urbana Cemetery in Urbana.
She was born Oct. 19, 1925, in Urbana to Floyd and Lottie (Culver) McCoy and graduated from Urbana High School in 1942. Malvena was a member of the Eastern Star for many years.
She is survived by her brother, R.K., and wife, Eileen McCoy, of Goodyear, Ariz.; her grandson, Scott Richter of Cedar Rapids; granddaughters, Sara and Lisa Richter of Minnesota and Kelly Richter of Cedar Rapids; four great-grandchildren; one nephew, Mike McCoy; and three nieces, Jeni Fleck, Jodi VanBeurden and Kristi McCoy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Martin Richter.
