Malinda Sue Anderson, 68, of Solon, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Malinda was born Oct. 25, 1953, in Anamosa, the daughter of Joe Herbert and Marjorie Mae (Fulton) Turkal. She graduated from Solon High School in 1972. Malinda was united in marriage to Bruce Anderson on Jan. 19, 1996. She enjoyed raising exotic birds and salt fish. In her spare time, she made afghans and donated many of them to the Solon Care Center.
Malinda is survived by her husband, Bruce; children, Vicki (John) See and David Bremer, all of Solon; grandchildren, Cindy (Adam) Dake and Jacob (Kayla) See; great-grandchild, Wyatt Dake; and brothers, Mat (Kate) Turkal and Mark (Jody) Turkal.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
