Malecek, Leona Marie

Leona Marie Malecek, 85, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at St. Michael's Catholic Church by Deacon Joe Behounek. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hrabak Funeral Home where there will be a rosary at 6:30 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughters, Bonnie (Dave) Pitz of Newton, Donna (Gary) Mosbrucker of Johnstown, Pa., JoAnn (Bill) Rob of Webster City, and Teresa (Bob) Hermsen of Belle Plaine; sons, Gerald (Anne) Malecek of Sparta, Ga., Donald (Carol) Malecek of Fairfax, and Tim (Anne) Malecek of Marion; brother, Milo (Juanita) Hala of Toledo; sister-in-law, Mary Thorman of Blairstown; 25 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
