Malcolm Libni Cook, 88, of Cheyenne, Wyo., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.
A celebration of life and home going of Malcolm Cook will be Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 700 Boyson Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. There also will be a future service held at Malcolm's home church, First United Methodist in Cheyenne, later in the spring, when a memorial service can be arranged.
Malcolm was born Oct. 24, 1927, to Charley and Hattie (Gardner) Cook in Scottsbluff, Neb. He married Phyllis Louise Cook on Aug. 26, 1951, in Laramie, Wyo.
Malcolm is survived by his two sons, Michael (Kt) of Cedar Rapids and Norman (Leslie) of Long Beach, Calif.; and his two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Amy Cook.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Phyllis; his parents; and his brother, Donald.
