Maish, Joanne 'Jo' Carol Green
Joanne “Jo” Carol Green Maish was with family and friends when she passed peacefully on Aug. 5, 2012, in her residence at Keystone Cedars from kidney failure.
Jo was born Dec. 27, 1934, in Carroll, Iowa, to Robert and Hedwig (Knapp) Green. Among her many passions were flower gardening, backyard bird watching, playing cards and spending time with her family and many friends.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Fankhauser; her children, Leann C. Bivens, Vincent (Louise) Christopherson, Anthony Christopherson and Juanita Zanders; five grandchildren, Matthew Bivens, Samantha Sion, Charlie Sion, Kari Christopherson and David Christopherson; one great-granddaughter, Natasha Sion; three nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at Valley View Pavilion, Seminole Valley Park, at 1 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation of Iowa.
