Mahoney, Shirley Jean
Shirley Jean Mahoney, 73, of Shellsburg, died Monday, August 30, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital. Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Greg (Pam) Shannon of Independence, Robert Shannon of California, Daniel (Donna) Mahoney of Marshfield, Mo., Pam Mahoney of Colfax, Valerie Mahoney of Shellsburg, and Dennis (Sharon) Mahoney of Walker.
Also surviving is the children's father, Dan Mahoney of Vinton.
Shirley was born August 6, 1937, the daughter of Donald and Algene (Helms) Wittenberg, in Delaware County, Iowa. Shirley worked for Crestview Acres Nursing Home in Marion.
