Mahoney, David C.
David C. Mahoney, 42, died Oct. 7, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, Ariz., from a rare type of stroke.
David was born Oct. 9, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, where he graduated from Washington High School. He worked in the restaurant industry and was currently general manager of the Goodyear, Ariz., Golden Corral.
David also enjoyed watching and participating in many sports and spending time with his cat.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy of Cedar Rapids; his beloved, Rosaura Galarza, and Rosaura's son and mother, Eddie and Grace, all of Arizona; brothers, Stephen of Illinois and Kevin and Michael (Cyndi) of Cedar Rapids; sister, Lory (Greg) Weed of Minnesota; nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Mahoney; and his grandparents.
A memorial service was held Oct. 11 in Peoria, Ariz., at West Valley Chapel.
