Madlyn Halter Baughman, 87, of Iowa City, died Saturday, June 21, 2014. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City. Burial: St. Stanislaus Cemetery, west of Hills.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been es-tablished in Madlyn's memory.

Madlyn Owens was born April 23, 1927, in Lexington, Neb., the daughter of Edwin and Ruby (Wilson) Owens. She married Clair Hughes in 1943. Following his death, she later married Bob Baughman.
She was the true meaning of a farm wife, working side by side with her husband as they cared for the farm, raised their family and enjoyed the fruits of their labors. Through the years she also worked at Woolworth's, downtown Iowa City, and later in the dietary de-partment at Mercy Iowa City.
She enjoyed traveling, but most important was her family and working on the farm, as she was married to a farmer!
Her family includes three daughters, Cheryl Gioimo of Coralville, Pam Halter of Iowa City and Janet Wedvick of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; sons, Greg and Terry Halter; daughter, Karen Kutcher; two sisters and a brother.
