MADILYNN ELAINE GRIFFIN
Marion
Madilynn Elaine Griffin, 21, of Marion, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Lemke Funeral Home's South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Dr., Clinton. Funeral services will occur at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Lemke Funeral Home's South Chapel. An additional visitation will occur one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Madilynn was born July 9, 1997, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Chad and Carissa (Regenwether) Griffin. She was a 2015 graduate of Linn-Mar High School in Marion. Madilynn worked as a phlebotomist for Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids and was days away from enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Madilynn was passionate about dance and animals. She danced for the Dance Co. of Marion through high school and all the time at home. She loved all animals, especially her dogs, and was an advocate against cruelty to animals. She enjoyed music, socializing and loved to shop. She had a fondness for elephants, hot fries and Rice Krispy treats. She always lit up the room when she arrived and had the greatest laugh and sense of humor. She was very kindhearted and was always ready to help those in need and often gave good/sound advice. Above all, she loved her family and friends very much and will be sadly missed.
Those left to treasure her memories are her parents, Chad and Carissa Griffin of Marion; her brothers, Tanner (Olivia) Regenwether of Clinton and Damon Griffin of Dubuque; her nephew, Jaxon Regenwether of Clinton; her grandparents, Creighton and Peggy Regenwether and William and Bonnie Griffin of Clinton; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Preceding Madilynn in death were her great-grandparents, Donald and Betty Kelly, Robert and Joan Regenwether, Eugene and Elaine Reynolds and William and Helen Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations can be directed to the family for charities and expenses.
