Madge V. Dougan of 1634 Hollywood Blvd. NE died June 26, 2014. Services: 11 a.m. June 30 at Noelridge Christian Church, 7111 C Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Stew Royce. Vis-itation at Noelridge Chris-tian Church will be at 10 a.m. June 30 before the service. There will be a cremation later, with inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum Columbarium.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Barbara Fister of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Dougan; her stepson, James W. Dougan II; her first husband, Gordon N. Olson; her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Madge was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Wilsey, Kan., to Ella and Ora Vorse. She attended Wilsey High School, Central Iowa Business College and Kirkwood Community College. She worked at Merchants National Bank (Banks of Iowa, Firstar and US Bank) for 30 years, retiring as assistant vice president. She was a previous member of Linn County Legal Secretaries, Linn County Cancer board of directors, Business Educational board of Kennedy High School and Kirkwood Community College, National Association of Bank Women Officers and treasurer, elder and charter member of Noelridge Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
Madge will be remembered for her smile and her enthusiasm for any job in which she was involved.
Memorials may be made to Noelridge Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, or Linn County Cancer Society.
