Madeline Ann Reinbrecht, 84, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Tama, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at the Methodist hospital in Omaha. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, followed by a memorial visitation from
6 to 8 p.m. Private inurnment will be held
at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Madeline was born June 26, 1932, in Ossian, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Adele (Edeldorf) Timp. Her father was a school-teacher and they moved quite often. He was a superintendent of schools at St. Anthony, Iowa.
On Jan. 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Wayne L. Reinbrecht at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Wayne and Madeline operated a hardware and furniture store in Tama until 1993. She was a great homemaker and wonderful wife and mother.
Survivors include two sons, William (Pam) Reinbrecht of Omaha and Robert Reinbrecht of Bloomington, Ill.; two grandsons, Robert D. Reinbrecht and Rhett Reinbrecht, both of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne, in 2014; and one sister, Kathleen Harvey.
A memorial fund has been established.
