Madden, Judith (Judie) Anne (Caldwell)
Judith (Judie) Anne Madden (Caldwell), 68, of Cedar Rapids, lost her short battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. A private remembrance is planned.
Judie is survived by her two sons, Kevin Madden of Greer, S.C. and Eric Madden (Julie) of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Barbara Caldwell and Susan Reeve (Larry) of Cedar Rapids; brother, Robert Caldwell (Helen) of West Branch; granddaughters, Tara, Jessica and Julielynn; niece, Iris Caldwell; nephew, Joseph Caldwell; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judie was born Dec. 7, 1944, to Robert Lloyd and Anna Marie Caldwell in Wheeling, W.V. She spent a happy childhood in Whittier, Calif. and graduated from Sierra High School and Mount San Antonio College. She worked as managerial assistants for RCA and Honeywell in southern California before moving to Iowa.
Judie lived for her children and her grandchildren, and her friends became part of her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking and adventure. She had the gift of laughter and enjoyed good times with family and friends. We will miss her generous spirit.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Oncology Associates at Mercy Medical Center, Living Center West, the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Dr. Timothy Quinn, Dr. Jasmine Nabi and Dr. David Segal for their competent and loving care of Judie in her final illness.
Please leave a message or tribute to the Madden family on the website under Obituaries.
