Macie, Kevin Scott
Kevin Scott Macie, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. A Celebration of Kevin's life will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Friends are encouraged to dress casual and come share stories of his life.
Kevin was born April 5, 1960, in Tampa, Fla., the son of John and Alice (Wisniewski) Macie. He had a zest for life. He enjoyed doing many different things throughout his life. Kevin was passionate about music, riding his Harley and spending time with his friends sharing stories of life. He had been involved in his early years as a professional wrestler, now the WWE.
Kevin is survived by his sons, Nic Macie of Cedar Falls and Shawn Macie of Texas; stepdaughter, Laura Phillips of New York; his grandchildren, Lynzi and Kellen Dykstra; his mother, Alice of South Carolina; his sisters, Sharon Macie and Janet Witcome; two brothers, Paul Macie and John Macie; as well as his fellow Harley enthusiasts and other close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a stepdaughter, Kellie Dykstra.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
