Maas, Leah W. 'Minnie'
Leah W. “Minnie” Maas, 101, of Williamsburg, died Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, with the Rev. Carl Cloeter officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Homestead. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Friday until service time at the church.
Memorials may be contributed to Lutheran Interparish Schools, Williamsburg.
Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.
Minnie is survived by her daughters, Lillian Mae Ficken (Bill) of Cedar Rapids and Kathleen Ann Gable (Gary) of Snohomish, Wash.; five grandchildren, Gary Ficken (Sally) of Cedar Rapids, Debbie Bills (Bill) of Cedar Rapids, Gary Brian Gable (Jill) of Boise, Idaho, Lisa Gable of Snohomish, Wash. and Laura Gable Tufts (Joshua) of Seattle, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, Brittany Ficken, Maddie Ficken, Sophie Ficken, Megan Bills, David Bills, Nick Gable, Britton Gable, Anna Gable, Brayden Ballman, Amalia Tufts and Cade Tufts.
She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Bohstedt of Williamsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Rank Behrens; her husband, Erwin John Maas; and her siblings, Esther, Marie, Walter, Mabel, Carl, George, Henry, Florence and Ella.
