M. Jeannette Black passed Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at the age of 96 years.
She is survived by her children, Don (Sharon) Black of Newton, Sue (David) Bengford of Marion and Gary (Rose) Black of Lena, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, in 2005; and two brothers, Charles Bavis and Thomas Bavis.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time.
