Lysell, Elsie
Elsie Lysell, 92, a resident of the Mechanicsville Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Prophetstown, Ill., died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church, where visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown, Ill. Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home, 320 Lafayette St., Prophetstown, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Ed) Francis of Geneseo, Ill., and Nancy Christiansen of Stanwood; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister.
Born Sept. 16, 1917, in Prophetstown, Ill., the daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Racke) Oetzel, she married Ernest V. Lysell on April 11, 1939. He died Dec. 17, 2001.
