Lynsey Danielle Brown, 30, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Lynsey was born Oct. 11, 1987, the daughter of Paul and Angela (Svestka) Brown. In 2006, she graduated from Linn-Mar High School and attended Northern Arizona University, graduating in 2010. Lynsey continued her education at the University of Iowa, receiving her master's degree in teaching in 2015. She taught for the Cedar Rapids school district and was a tutor for the Catherine McAuley Center. Lynsey loved animals, and her biggest passion was reading and teaching others.
Lynsey is survived by her beloved fur baby, Rory; father, Paul (Kevin) Brown; mother, Angela Brown; sister, Megan Brown; brothers, Andrew and Noah Brown; nieces and nephews, Caleb, Carter, Madeline and Savannah; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lynsey's memory.
