Lynnette Ann (Weitenhagen) Kenison, 71, passed away at her home in Cedar Rapids on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Per Lynnette’s request, no services will be held.
Lynnette Ann Kenison was born on Sept. 1, 1951, in Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Beulah (Dooley) Weitenhagen. On Sept. 4, 1971, Lynnette married the love of her life, Bruce Kenison, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She enjoyed cooking, reading, watching Westerns on TV, and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish Lynnette’s memory are her husband, Bruce, of Cedar Rapids; her daughters, Jami (Harold) Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kelli Kenison of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her brothers, James “Jim” Weitenhagen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Robert (Georgianne) Weitenhagen Jr., of Corte Madera, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Luann (Leeon) Adams.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Mercy.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Mercy for the love and support they showed Lynnette, while she was in their care.
