Lynn Sue Sigwarth, 55, of Marion, died unex-pectedly Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at her mother's home. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, officiated by Father David O'Connor. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, and one hour before Mass at the church. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Lynn was born Aug. 17, 1959, in Manchester, Iowa, to Ewald and Marie (Schaul) Sigwarth. She was a graduate of Linn-Mar High School. She attended both Kirkwood Community College and Coe College. Lynn was currently on medical leave from her position as an orthopedic physician's assistant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
She is survived by her mother, Marie Sigwarth of Marion; four sisters, Marlene Sigwarth, who was her best friend and godmother, Karen (Ken) Keenan, Judy (Doug) Mackert and Joyce (Ron) Longerbeam, all of Marion; three brothers, Richard (Christine) Sigwarth of Cedar Rapids, Earl (Judy) Sigwarth of Toddville and Steve Sigwarth of Cedar Rapids; godfather, Dennise Schaul or Manchester; and goddaughter, Mindy Jacobs of Georgia. She also is survived by many special companions: her horses, Cassie and Princess Diana; dog, Katie; and cats, Tiny Tim and Hollybelle.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Eugene Sigwarth; sister, Patricia Starks; nephew, Travis Sigwarth; and special pets, Muffy, Benjamin, Samson, Tassie, Blue, Stanley Steamer and Mutsie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Lynn "Lynnie Poo" loved all animals, especially her horse (Cassie) whom she loved to ride. She enjoyed driving her Ford Lariat truck and spending time with her friends and family.
Lynn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
