Lynn W. Morrow, 98, of Waukon, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at his home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon. Inurnment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Lynn Wallace Morrow was born April 9, 1916, in Gladbrook, Iowa, the son of Harry E. and Myrtie (Person) Morrow. His father was a lifelong Methodist minister serving churches throughout Northeast Iowa, so Lynn lived in a variety of places. Lynn graduated from Buck Creek High School, received his B.A. degree from Cornell College and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
In 1941, Lynn was admitted to the Iowa Bar. From 1941 to 1946, he served in the U.S. Army as a captain in the 2nd Armored Division. On Oct. 6, 1942, he married Margaret Dilley in Mount Vernon.
Lynn is survived by his daughter, Susan (Dan) Petrosky of Edina, Minn.; his son, John of Waukon; two grandchildren, Kirstin (Jason) Franzen and Mark (Kimberly) Petrosky; and four great-grandchildren, Lynne and Laura Franzen and Anders and Elin Petrosky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; and his brother, Raymond.
