Lynda L. Miller, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 24, 2022, in her home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to noon. Memorial services and inurnment to follow in the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Brent of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Robin (Chad) of Brainerd, Minn.; and a sister, Karen of Sutton, Neb. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, Emily, Britney, Tori (Carter), Jessica, Cassandra, Isaiah and Ryan; one nephew, Josh (Teryl); two nieces, Kristi and Jennifer; great-nieces and –nephews, Leif, Ingelise, Elsa, Grethe and Gavin (Katie); and a great-great-niece, Gemma. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas; and two sons, Bradley and DJ.
Lynda was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Mountain View, Mo., the daughter of James and Mildred (Phipps) Coberly. She married Douglas R. Miller on Oct. 19, 1963, in Cedar Rapids. Lynda worked at Mercy Hospital for many years and, most recently, was employed at Garnet Place in Cedar Rapids, and retired in 2020. Lynda enjoyed listening to music, bowling, boating and camping. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family the most. Lynda will forever be remembered as a delightful and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
