Lynda L. Jackman, 75, of Hiawatha, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment will follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lynda was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Albert and Doris (Caylor) Robison. After graduating from high school, she began her career at Northwestern Bell. Shortly thereafter, she married Fay E. "Jack" Jackman in Des Moines, on April 4, 1959. To this union, one son, Brent, was born. Lynda retired from Northwestern Bell as a manager in 1989.
Lynda was a woman of many talents. She was an excellent card player, especially bridge. She enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was a very proud and loving grandmother.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack; son, Brent (Laura) Jackman of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Piper Jackman; and beloved dog, Cassie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Saundra Muckler and Jackie Robison.
