Lynda Helen (Goldsberry) Lynch died Sept. 3, 2021. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, from
4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. A funeral- Mass will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow the funeral Mass at Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum. After the burial, lunch will follow at St. Patrick's Parish Center.
Born June 28, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lynda was the eighth of 11 children of Chester Edwardine and Maxine Helen (Sullivan) Goldsberry. She attended St. Patrick's School and graduated from LaSalle High School. She initially worked at LEAP, followed- by State Farm and Kline Tools.
She married Robert (Bob) Brooks on Feb. 17, 1968. She and Bob were the parents of three children, Angela Kay (Billy) O'Dwyer, and Robert Alan (Dana) Brooks of Cedar Rapids, and Amy Lynn (Ryan) Reyhons of Ely, Iowa. She was the proud and loving grandmother of five grandchildren, Treytan White, Owen Brooks, and Mya, Tyler and Hudsyn Reyhons.
On Oct. 10, 2003, Lynda married Maurice (Mick) Lynch. They were happily wed for 18 years. She and Mick enjoyed traveling together and went to Ireland, Italy, and the Caribbean. For a short time they wintered in The Villages, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Mick; her children and grandchildren; and siblings, Chester Goldsberry, Sharlene Flynn, Janice Brooks, Karen Goldsberry, Marcine Luke, Marilyn Welch, Sherrie Justice and Julie Ambach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Maxine; a brother, Clifford Goldsberry; and a sister, Cheryl Goldsberry.
Lynda loved traveling, and spending time with her five grandchildren and beloved dog, Mozy.
