Lynch-Fauchier, Jean M.
Jean M. Lynch-Fauchier, 82, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, in her home from heart problems and multiple myelomas. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. today at All Saints Catholic Church by the Rev. David O'Connor. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Those left to cherish her memories are: a son, Dennis (Becki) Lynch of Cedar Rapids, and their children, Brenna (Todd) and Colin; a son, Kevin (Marie) Lynch of Mount Vernon, and their children, Jerod (Lori) and Lori (Zak); a daughter, Monica Lynch of Hendersonville, Tenn., and her son, Kyle (Laura) Rammelsberg of Bowie, Md., and their son, Conor. Also surviving are stepson, Steve (Jean) Fauchier, and their children, Marie, Marla and Melissa, all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four stepgreat-grandchildren; stepdaughter-in-law, Jenni Fauchier of Omaha, Neb., and their son, Cory.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Lynch in 1958; her second husband, Robert Fauchier in 2003; her parents; a sister, Kay; and a stepson, Dick Fauchier.
Jean was born Jan. 30, 1927, to Edward and Clara Weber Koob in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus High School and Mount Mercy College. Later she worked for Iltens and Tage's and was a Shaklee distributor for many years. In 1951, she married Eddie Lynch at St. Wenceslaus Church. They had three children, Dennis, Kevin and Monica. Eddie died in 1958, leaving Jean to raise their children. He was always the love of her life. In 1969, she married Robert Fauchier.
Jean enjoyed being a homemaker and was always a country girl at heart and happiest when she was out walking either at Koob Orchard or her sons' orchard. She loved her birds, reading and flower gardens. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, St. Annes Circle and All Saints Choir. Jean loved her kids, grandkids and enjoyed all the times they would visit and proud of their accomplishments.
Mom you were always a tough old gal and kept your chin up right till the end always staying positive. You are an inspiration to all of us. We love and miss you.
