Lyle R. Recker, 82, of rural Arlington, Iowa, died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Oelwein Health Care Center in Oelwein.
Private Mass of christian burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein.
Public visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, Iowa.
Memorial fund: Camp Courageous of Iowa in Monticello, Iowa.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fran Recker of Oelwein; four sons, Jim (Deb) Recker of Oelwein, Tim (Darla) Recker of Arlington, John (Michelle) Recker of Cedar Rapids and Vince (Shelly) Recker of Valparaiso, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale (Judy) Recker of Arlington and Larry Recker of Oelwein; two sisters, Mary Ann Ryan of Britt, Iowa, and Sharon (John) Woods of Fairbank; and many nieces and nephews.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Florence Recker; two brothers, Carl and Ernie; and two sisters, Betty Reeser and Linda Linder.
