Lyle Eugene Ehrenberger, 60, of Robins, passed away after a short tenacious battle with COVID pneumonia on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please contact Lyle's son Joel at (319) 432-9545 for an invite and details of the celebration. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Michele "Missy"; son, Joel of Robins; mother, Charlotte Ehrenberger of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Cheryl (Chris) Langhurst of Cedar Rapids and Tery (Joann) Ehrenberger of Ely; nephew, Bryce Langhurst of Marion; and nieces, Carly and Aubree Langhurst of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russel Ehrenberger; and brother, Gary Ehrenberger.
Lyle was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Russel and Charlotte Dostal Ehrenberger. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1979 and from Kirkwood Community College from the electrician apprenticeship program. Lyle was a member of the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a lance corporal. On June 6, 1992, he married Michele "Missy" Dwyer at First Christian Church, Center Point. Lyle worked at Paulson Electric for many years and was currently employed at Integrated DNA as an electrician since 2006.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching movies and shows with his family, and playing online games on his phone, but more than anything, he loved to help people through his work. Lyle was a beloved member of his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
