Lyle E. Johannsen, 87, of Monona, Iowa, passed away on Oct. 20, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society, Postville, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marion; son, Murray (Joy) of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; daughters, Lorie (Scott) Johnson of Kendallville, Iowa, Julie (John) Peglow of Cedar Rapids and Carla Schultz of Muscoda, Wis.; grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Camp, Erin Schultz, Landon Schultz, Jessica (Rick) Mooberry and Rachel Peglow; and great-grandchildren, Brodyn Blietz, Bryce Camp, Payton Schultz, John Mooberry and Lyla Mooberry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, with the Rev. Erika Kielstrup as the officiant.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
Inurnment will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona.
Memorials may be made in memory of Lyle to the Monona Fire Dept., Monona EMTs or Good Samaritan Society of Postville, Iowa.
Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, is helping the family with the arrangements.
