Lunning, Ann
Ann Lunning, 89, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at The Woodlands/The Meth-Wick Community, surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Everett Lunning of Cedar Rapids; a son, Everett Lunning Jr. and wife Deloise Vasquez of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Lissa and Peter Dodington of New York City, N.Y., and the Rev. Susan Lunning and husband, the Rev. Serge Castigliano of Putnam Valley, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Edward and James Dodington and Caroline and Lydia Lunning; two great-grandchildren, Elsa and Soledad; and a sister Eunice Souter of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Ann Hill was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of Neely and Lydia Butler Hill. She married Everett Lunning on Feb. 3, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa. Ann was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother, a devoted wife and a dear friend to many. A kind, and beloved woman, she will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Meth-Wick Foundation.
