Lukavsky, Anna Marie
Anna Marie Lukavsky, 93, of Washington, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at the United Presbyterian Home following a lengthy illness. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Paul Appel officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
Anna is survived by her eight children, including daughter Helen Kurtz of Brighton, Iowa, daughter Shirley McGraw of Bridgeton, Mo., son Kenneth Lukavsky of Holt, Mich., son Robert Lukavsky and wife Janet of Laverne, Calif., daughter Marjorie Schrock and husband Devon of Washington, Iowa, daughter Ruth Barnhart and Mario Salazar of Iowa City, daughter Joyce Scranton and husband Paul of Ankeny, Iowa and son Dennis Lukavsky and wife Diane of Waukee, Iowa; one daughter-in-law, Barb Lukavsky of Washington, Iowa; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to St. James Parish.
