Luedeman, Meda
Meda Leudeman, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jonathan Offt. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Survivors include her children, Richard (Betty) Luedeman of Cedar Rapids, and Linda (Vel) McDaniel of Gulf Shores, Ala.; sister, Mary Wilson of Watsonville, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 2005; and brothers, Glen and Harold Thomason.
Meda was born Oct. 15, 1918, in Marion, to Arthur and Rolinda Thomason. She married Leonard Luedeman on Oct. 15, 1936. Meda loved family get-togethers and was a fantastic cook who will be remembered for her potato soup.She and Leonard enjoyed squaredancing and being Texan snowbirds. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Meda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
The family would like to thank the staff of Silver Pines and Northbrook Care Center for their loving care.
