Lucille Katherine Jones died Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving children at the Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo at the age of 94 years.
She is survived by a son, Larry (Shirley) Jones of Prosperity, S.C.; a daughter, Judy (Jake) Jacobs of Brandon, S.D.; a son-in-law, Dean Pohren of Osage; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Hopp of Williamsburg and Luverna Kleinmeyer of Cedar Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1996; a daughter, Sharon Pohren in 2014; and two brothers, Gilbert and Harold Maas.
Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Tom Ogilvie will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are for St. Paul Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
