Lucia "Lucy" A. Marino, 78, died at her home Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014. No services are planned. Committal of her cremated remains will be at a later date in Saskatoon, SK, Canada.
A memorial fund will be established.
Lucy was born May 31, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio. She received master's degrees in journalism from Michigan State University and in library science from Drexel Institute in Philadelphia.
Lucy moved in the late 1960s to Iowa City, where she was a reference librarian at the University of Iowa Library until her retirement.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Marino (Christopher Kent); and her nephew, Andrew (Leslie) Kent, and their children, Max, Lily and Piper, all of Saskatoon.
