Luce Jr., Gordon 'Donn'
Gordon “Donn” Luce Jr., 83, of Madison, Wis., died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, in his home from age-related causes. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the Waucoma Funeral Chapel, where visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial: Waucoma Cemetery.
Surviving is a cousin, Mary Jane (Silas) Sevatson of Branson, Mo.
Donn was born in Decorah, Iowa, to Gordon and Mildred (Doane) Luce on Nov. 16, 1926. He grew up in the Decorah and
Ossian area and graduated from Luther College, Iowa State University and the University of Michigan. Summers were spent in Waucoma through 2008. Donn retired from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988 as agriculture librarian.
