Lown, Andrew Steven 'Andy'
Andrew Steven “Andy” Lown, 26, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 8, 2012. Service: 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Darran Whiting. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Andy's body will be cremated after visitation on Thursday. Friends may also visit after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by daughter, Aubrey of Cedar Rapids; mother, Terry Lown of Cedar Rapids; father, Steve (Karen Mutchler) of Swisher; four brothers, Brent (Kelly) of Florence, Ky., Michael (Teresa) of North Liberty, Robert of Cedar Rapids and Scott (Amanda) of Marion; sister, Stephanie (Brian) of Maryland; grandma, Vera Nielsen of Cedar Rapids; honorary mom, Aunt Lori Franck of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, David (Maxine), Dale (Nancy), Dennis (Conni), Gale, Diane, Jerry (Sandy), Judy (Bob), Kay (Albert) and Susie (Von); nieces and nephews, Luke, Lily, Katelynn, Alexia, Kia, Rylie, Railen, Rennah and Restyn; cousins; and friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Lown, and Perry and Louise Franck; two uncles, Dean and Larry Franck; two aunts, Nancy Snodgrass and Penny Vanous; and niece, Mackenzie Lown.
He was born Oct. 20, 1985, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Steven Lown and Terry (Franck) Lown. Andy was a graduate of Washington High School. He served in the Army in Korea and in El Paso, Texas.
He loved riding his motorcycle and running heavy equipment. Andy was the guy who would bend over backward for anyone, but his number one priority was his daughter. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
