Louise Lola Rowe, 93, of Walker, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at her home with her family by her side. Louise was born on April 10, 1924, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Lola (Kile) Polk. She graduated from Troy Mills, Iowa, and later married Walter Rowe in 1946. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Walker United Methodist Church. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at the church. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include her children, Lester Rowe of Springfield, Mo., and Marlene Kiler of Hackensack, Minn.; grandchildren, Kelly (Chris) Kemmerling of Cedar Rapids, Shannon (Jim) Keller of Cedar Rapids, Kori (Brad) Busho of Pine River, Minn., Kurtis (Stacey) Kiler of Backus, Minn., and Kendra (Bill) Taylor of Hackensack; nine great-grandchildren, Chase and Killian Kemmerling, Kelsi and Kole Busho, Koby and Kenseth Taylor, Kaylee, Whalin and Zyla Kiler; sisters, Betty Gericke of Walker and Patty Edgerly of Alburnett, Iowa; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Polk of Coggon, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lola Polk; husband, Walter; brother, Junior Polk; son-in-law, Ken Kiler; and brothers-in-law, Jim Edgerly and Merle Gericke.
Louise loved being with her family and grandchildren. She also loved dancing, traveling, fishing, playing cards and being a member of Troy Mills Legion Auxillary. Louise was a loving mother, wife and grandma.
Memorials may be directed to the Troy Mills Legion, Walker Fire Department or Walker United Methodist Church.
