Louise C. Niedermayer, 93, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 23, 2016, at Living Center East. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Calvary Cemetery by Deacon Robert Hurych. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, Cedar Rapids.
Louise is survived by special friends, Ron and Shirley Aschbrenner, Cedar Rapids; dear friend, Betty Price, Brooklyn; nieces; a nephew; and her special feline companion, Snoopy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris; her parents, Albert and Frances (Hala) Posusta; sister, Mary Jacobi; and brothers, Albein and Milo Posusta.
Louise was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Benton County, Iowa, and had lived in Cedar Rapids for many years. She married Christy "Chris" J. Niedermayer on April 8, 1967, in Illinois. Chris died Sept. 2, 2003. Louise had worked at Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2772. She enjoyed playing bingo at Hawkeye Downs.
