Louise Kathryn Johnson, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 17, 2014. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment: private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Roger Johnson of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Joseph Plotz of Chicago; her brother-in-law, Richard (Joan) Johnson of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Russell C. Johnson.
Kathryn was born June 7, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Louise (Melsha) Plotz. She married Russell Clair Johnson on Feb. 13, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. Kathryn was a homemaker. She loved caring for her family and friends. She also was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, where she was church secretary. She enjoyed gardening and animals.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
