Louis Roy Wilson, 83, of Williamsburg, formerly of Wellman and Marion, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, in Iowa City. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wellman, with full military honors. A luncheon will follow. Burial in Hopkinton, following the funeral. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, with a rosary prayer at 4 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Wellman.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christe Cress, Matthew Wilson, Peggy Gartner, Patty (Stephanie) Petrak and Ann (Jay) Smith; brothers; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra; and his brother, Lawrence.
Louis was born in Richmond, Calif., on April 7, 1934. He married Sandra Mettler on Nov. 6, 1954. He served as a Marine in the Korean War. He spent his life providing for his family.
