Lough, Kimberly Rae
Kimberly Rae Lough, 49, of Plymouth, Mich., died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a sudden illness. A Celebration of Life service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of North Liberty, 85 N. Jones Blvd. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, is assisting with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Kimberly Lough Memorial Fund, c/o US Bank, 580 W. Cherry St., North Liberty, IA 52317.
Kim was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, on Dec. 17, 1959, the daughter of Ronald and Carol (Benson) Lough. She graduated from Malcolm Price Lab School and later went on to graduate from The University of Northern Iowa in 1988. Just recently, Kim graduated from the radiology program at The Detroit Medical Center, where she became certified as a radiology technician and was currently in the process of relocating back to Iowa City.
Kim was a wonderful person who not only had a great love for her family but also a tremendous love for animals.
She is survived by her two sons, Jacob and Benjamin Krogmeier of Plymouth, Mich.; her father, Ronald (Ash Lynn) Lough of North Liberty; her mother, Carol Lough of Cedar Falls; her former husband, Wayne Krogmeier of Plymouth, Mich.; and her three brothers, Greg of Cedar Falls, Michael of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Brian of North Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
