LouAnn Phillips Martucci, 57, of Glendale, Ariz., died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Amber (Brad) Holub of Springville and Britni Phillips of Bloomsburg, Pa.; a son, Chase Kinney of New York, N.Y.; and her mother, Betty Lou Phillips of Cedar Rapids. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Dylan and Danielle Holub.
She was preceded in death by her father and a grandson, Dalton Holub.
LouAnn was born April 20, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Betty McCracken Phillips. She graduated from Washington High School in 1975. LouAnn married Dan Kinney on Dec. 27, 1980, in Cedar Rapids. They were later divorced. She relocated to Bloomsburg, Pa., and most recently to Glendale, Ariz.
LouAnn attended Kirkwood Community College for fashion design and Bauder Fashion College in Arlington, Texas. She made a career change and earned her wings with American Airlines in 1991. LouAnn was a life affirming specialist for the Prolife Pregnancy Center. She also was a motivational speaker who wrote and published "Speak Life to Me."
She was a wonderful mother, daughter and grammy whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
LouAnn had a strong passion for naturopathic medicine, which came from her belief to have life on her terms.
