Lou Ann Goldie, 58, of Hiawatha, died at her home on Monday, March 24, 2014. Her wishes were to have her body cremated and a memorial service held at a later date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.
Lou Ann is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lois and Jack Frisk of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Randy Fields, Boston, Mass.; stepbrother, Bart Frisk and wife Melanie, Shueyville; and a very dear friend, Tony Christopherson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Collier; a sister, Terry Kester; and a half brother, William Collier.
Lou Ann was born May 1, 1955, in Bowling Green, Mo., and had lived in the
Cedar Rapids area since 1969. She married John Goldie in May 1981 at Palisades Park and they were divorced in October 2008. Lou Ann had worked as a telephone operator at the University of Iowa for 13 years. She enjoyed crocheting towels to give to friends and family and also reading.
