Lorraine "Lori" Susan Styron Lund left us Thursday, March 20, 2014, after a short fight with cancer. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be Monday, March 24, at 642 18th Ave. SW in Cedar Rapids from 3 to 6 p.m.
Lori was born May 1, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, to Stanley and Gerda Lund. She married Don Styron on Aug. 5, 1988. She was employed at Menards until the diagnosis.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Don, and his daughter, Sylvia Brown; sisters, Linda (Johnny Brewer) Meeks and Lisa (Dan Ricklefs) Negerete; mother- and father-in-law, Clayton and Jane Martinez; sisters-in-law, Mona, Gina and Genny; nephews, Todd Meeks and Trevor Ricklefs; nieces, Tina (Bryon) Ruby and Cortney Negrete; and her great-nephew and great-niece, Alec and Hallie Ruby.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents and beloved dog, Baby.
Lori's happiest days were vacationing, cabins, camping, fishing and sitting around their fire pit. Nature was her gift of life.
During Lori's illness she never complained. Lori was so brave, she was our strong rock. We will miss her "quirky' little smiles.
Lori's family would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their care. Thank you to all her co-workers for your visits and cards, it meant a lot.
