Lorraine Gayle King, 91, formerly of Manchester, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Elkader Care Center,
Elkader. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Oakland Cemetery, Manchester. Bohnenkamp Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Rick King of Elkader; four grandchildren, Teona (Troy) Wolford, Nick King, Zach King and Tracy Bond; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil; her daughter, Nancy; and five siblings.
Lorraine was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of John and Maude (Burch) Rieger. She was raised and educated in the area. Lorraine married Virgil King in 1942 in Kahoka, Mo. She was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed working in her yard, spending time with her family, cooking and playing cards.
