Lorraine A. Clouse, 83, passed away Dec. 3, 2014. Visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m., with funeral service beginning at 11 a.m.
She was born Feb. 9, 1931, the daughter of Dale and Fern (Ransdell) Clouse, in Nebraska City, Neb. Lorraine was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and St. Luke's School of Radiology. Later, she worked as an abstracter for Iowa Title and Abstract.
As an active Christian, Lorraine taught Sunday school and youth groups. After retirement she volunteered at The Salvation Army, House of Prayer, Faith in Action and Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her four beloved nephews and their families, as well as her sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy L. and Gerald A. Clouse; and two sisters, Marjorie Prior and Lucille Rakestraw.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Evergreen II and UnityPoint St. Luke's Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and support. It was greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
