Lorraine Catherine Ehrman, 97, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at West Ridge Care Center. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with visitation to begin one hour earlier. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Lorraine was born April 22, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Joseph and Olga (Amundson) McMahon. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1942. Lorraine married Willard Ehrman on Sept. 3, 1949, at Immaculate Conception Church in Cedar Rapids. She was a lifetime homemaker who loved taking care of her family. Lorraine enjoyed puzzles, sewing, flower gardens, going for walks, and especially traveling.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat Mote of Cedar Rapids, Sandy (Jack) Thompson of Mechanicsville, Iowa, and Barb (John) Gilbertson of Blairstown, Iowa; son-in-law, Greg Klees of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; daughter, Christy Klees; one sister; and four brothers.
