Lorraine Alice Baker, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. Cindi McKee. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Wayne (Shelly) Baker of Solon, Iowa, Brenda (Dean) Roberts of Cedar Rapids and Vicki (Jeremy) Dearduff of West Des Moines, Iowa; her sister, Delores Evans of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her daughter, Kathy Baker-Morgan; and her siblings, Art Wedo, Ronnie Wedo, Kenny Wedo, Ruth Ann Pyle and Janet Wheeler.
Lorraine was born Nov. 29, 1935, in Clermont, Iowa, the daughter of Benjamin and Ellen (Steele) Wedo. She married Charles Wayne Baker on Aug. 1, 1953, in Soap Lake, Wash. Lorraine retired from Rockwell Collins as an assembly test repair tech.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, bowling, crocheting and making wood crafts. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo weekly.
