LORENCE ACKERMANN
Amana
Lorence W. Ackermann, 57, of Amana, chose to end his life of suffering and begin his new life in heaven on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at his home. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Amana Community Church, Amana, with Elder Jon Childers officiating. Burial will be in the Amana Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Amana Church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established.
Lorence is survived by his son, Matt Ackermann (Whitney Alberhasky) of Homestead; two daughters, Elizabeth Draeger (Eric) of Marion and Kristin Ackermann (Josh Cuno) of Homestead; a granddaughter, Jasmin Rose; his parents, William and Dorothy Ackermann of Amana; two sisters, Sandy Fetzer (Jerry) of Marion and Deb Weisskopf (Phil) of Oxford; two nieces, Andrea Dorn (Jeremy) and Callista Weisskopf; and three nephews, Patrick Fetzer, Zachary Fetzer and Josh Weisskopf.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two nieces, Heather and Micah Weisskopf.
