Lorena "Kay" Feldmann,
82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Visitation will be held
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. All guests are respectfully requested to
wear a mask and practice social distancing. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Kay, under "photos and videos or media," starting at
1 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021.
Kay was born on Aug. 12, 1939, in Blakesberg, Iowa, the daughter of Max and Icel May (Howk) Chidester. She graduated from Blakesberg High School and went on to receive her AIB Secretarial Certificate. Kay was united in marriage to Donald Feldmann on June 21, 1959, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She worked at the Cedar Rapids Gazette for 15 years. Kay was a member of Shueyville United Methodist Church, Business Women's Association, and was very active in her church groups.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (Jim) Swanson of Shueyville, Iowa, and Connie (Steve) Russell of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Matthew (Morgan) Russell, Bethany (Tim) Gauger, Kelby Swanson and Clare Swanson; great-grandchildren, Ava and Emma Gauger; and brother, Randy (Cindy) Chidester.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Icel Chidester; husband, Donald Feldmann; and brother, Terry Lee Chidester.
